Meet the winner

Nick Winser has spent 30 years devoted to the utilities sector and has held roles at the highest level. Earlier this year, in his position as the government-appointed electricity networks commissioner, Nick delivered an influential report on speeding up the build-out of electricity transmission infrastructure. Well many other weighty reports on energy reform have done little more than gather dust on a shelf, the recommendations of the Winser review were accepted in full by government and featured heavily in the autumn statement.
