Celebrating excellence across the utilities sector

Welcome to this preview of the Utility Week Awards 2025, where we showcase the breadth of achievements from teams across the water and energy sector and their supply chain.

I am constantly amazed that the standard of entries for these awards continues to rise as the pressures on utilities ramps up yet further. It has led to more difficult decisions for our judges to choose between a range of outstanding entries. There were a host of great projects that we just couldn’t find space for and I want to take this opportunity to recognise their achievements.

What follows overleaf, therefore, is the cream of the crop and represents a step change in the activity across the sector. With a new asset management period beginning in water and the challenge of delivering Clean Power 2030 turbocharging delivery in energy, this has been a pivotal year.

The following pages show that utilities and their partners are serious about the stretching goals they face over the coming years and stand ready to deliver.

We received a record number of entries this year and it would have been impossible to whittle those down to this stellar list of finalist without the hard work and insight of our judges. I would like to thank them for their time and effort in helping us pull together a shortlist that highlights the best of the best. Thank you also to our sponsors for their ongoing support of these awards.

I look forward to revealing the winners across these 18 categories at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 2 December and hope to see you there.

Congratulations again to our finalists, and good luck!
