Foreword

The third annual Women in Utilities Awards is almost upon us and with it the opportunity to celebrate individuals and teams across the energy and water sectors.

These awards are more than a celebration - they’re a movement. Recognising the women who are driving innovation, leadership, and transformation in utilities is essential to building a more inclusive and future-ready sector. We’re proud to continue this partnership and celebrate the talent shaping our industry.

For our third year we reshaped the categories and criteria to ensure they recognise the realities of these sectors as we see them today. New areas covered include technology, frontline workers and a dedicated award for our partner the Women in Utilities Network (WUN)’s #SpeakUp Award. These complement our returning favourites, including Mentor of the Year, Rising Sar, EDI Initiative and, of course, the prestigious Woman of the Year Award.

Before we unveil the winners, we wanted to provide some space for you to learn about all of our fantastic finalists. Over the following pages you can find out more about each of the categories and who is in the running.

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the Womens Utilities Network for their continued partnership, our sponsors for their support and our judges for their hard work and rigour.

I hope you find this overview of the awards useful and I look forward to revealing the winners on 3 July.
