Utility Partner of the Year

There was no shortage of candidates vying for the honour of utility partner of the year, demonstrating the deeply collaborative nature of the industry – a trend that is only set to increase. The judges particularly welcomed the addition of some newer names to the line-up, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to common challenges.

As well as tackling the problems arising on a project basis, judges were keen to see evidence of wider learnings that could benefit the whole sector.

The best candidates were able to demonstrate the results of continuing relationships developed over many years and a proven record of problem solving, but at the same time bringing something new to this year’s judging

Eliq AB

Since 2018, we've partnered with 12 UK utilities, addressing the energy crisis by enhancing customer understanding of energy use.

We provide two solutions: our Energy Insights API for advanced app features and a ready-to-use White-Label mobile application, both aiming to strengthen customer relationships through engaging digital energy products.

Energy & Utility Skills - The Green Jobs Delivery Group

Recognising the critical importance of a skilled workforce to deliver ambitious net zero and environmental targets, government and industry has formed the Green Jobs Delivery Group (GJDG).

Energy & Utility Skills (EUS) led the way, co-chairing the ministerial-level group, developing an action plan for power and networks that has been adopted across other industries, initiating a group to champion the water industry and driving forward social impact initiatives.

This ground-breaking work, requiring collaboration across power generation and networks and new partnerships across the utilities industry, has resulted in an unprecedented analysis of skills needs and the means to deliver them.

Severn Trent Water and Waterfit - Green Recovery Programme

A Severn Trent Water (STW) collaboration with their supply partner (Waterfit) has developed and delivered a new and agile process for innovation in support of the STW Green Recovery Programme.

This new process has significantly reduced the time from solution requirement to market delivery, minimising any customer impact, environmental impact and H & S issues on site whilst providing and future proofing existing iron mains.

This new collaborative process has been so successful in delivering against its Key Performance Measures it is now being seen as the benchmark for future collaborative projects between STW and their supply chain.
